Job Description  | Position Overview
The office of Lifelong Learning is expanding its precollege programming, including four Writing Institute summer programs. The Summer Coordinator (temporary) will work closely with the Writing Institute Director to support communications and planning for Writers Week 2027 & Young Writers Studio, and the Assistant Director of Lifelong Learning to support Visual Arts, Musical Theatre and other summer programs.
They will manage event coordination for virtual and on campus programs, provide customer service to parents and students, communicate with enrolled students, support marketing endeavors, create digital and print program materials, support program set up, execution and break down and participate in program planning meetings as necessary.
This role will report to the Lifelong Learning Assistant Director and the Writing Institute Director, anticipating 50% of time spent on Lifelong Learning programs launch and execution and 50% of time spent on Writing Institute programs (Writers Week & Young Writers Studio). This job is November 2026 through August 2027, with part time (November through June) and full time (June through August) hours. This job is located in Bronxville, NY with occasional weekend hours to support Lifelong Learning summer programs.

Please note that hybrid schedule is available until June 14, at which point the position is on campus. Essential Duties Summary  | Essential Duties Summary Meet weekly with the LLL Assistant Director & Writing Institute Director to coordinate communication and enrollment reports for summer programs Provide excellent customer service for prospective students and their families as well as enrolled students and their families Manage enrollment reports and waitlists accordingly Coordinate virtual and on campus logistics including Zoom links, classroom reservations, transportation, catering orders, materials and supplies Create digital and print materials to support summer programs Liaise with College offices such as College Events, Operations, Facilities and Admissions for program logistics Support program execution online and on campus, including check in, material management, A/V support and other duties as needed Attend occasional weekend orientations or summer program fairs to provide support Support the mission and vision of the College in greeting precollege students and teaching artists with care, enthusiasm and professionalism
Required Qualifications  | Required Qualifications BA required. Familiarity with youth programs and/or K-12 schools Experience in arts program administration is preferred but not required. Excellent attention to detail; organizational and writing skills required. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Profound interpersonal skills: Flexibility, forbearance, and general enthusiasm. This position is open to Sarah Lawrence College Graduate Students & recent graduate alumni.
