The University of Florida is hiring a Literacy Implementation Specialist to facilitate professional development and support literacy initiatives within partner schools and districts. The specialist will design and lead training programs, collaborate across teams, and provide onsite coaching to improve reading instruction and meet project goals.
Highlights
Facilitate face-to-face, virtual, and online professional development for administrators, coaches, and teachers.
Design and implement literacy-related training and support materials aligned with best practices in reading instruction.
Provide onsite coaching and school-level support to instructional leaders and teachers.
Collaborate with product managers, design teams, and research staff to ensure effective implementation of literacy initiatives.
Manage implementation components including travel, materials, and personnel budget.
Maintain accurate records related to training and project deliverables.
Required skills include knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Excel, and/or SmartSheet.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Reading or Special Education, Reading Endorsement, experience in K-12 literacy, online learning, and strong content knowledge in the Science of Reading.
