What You’ll Do
This position will partner with academic and business stakeholders across the Purdue system, IT staff, and vendors to build and maintain strong customer relationships and analyze business and user needs that align with the Digital Learning Solutions services’ scope and objectives.  This position is responsible for administering and supporting the Learning Management System (LMS) courses, users, integrations, and enhancements as well as other educational technology tools in the DLS portfolio. This position will resolve technical problems, implement designed business processes and functionality to specifications. Their analytical skills will be utilized to troubleshoot standard to difficult issues using prior experience and analysis of the issue. This position will work on small to medium size projects related to the DLS portfolio of tools and services.

This is a remote position.
 
What We're Looking For
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related fields
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in designing and developing business solutions
  • LMS administration (Brightspace preferred), project management, interfacing with vendors and stakeholders to drive project success, managing change, and implementing solutions
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
 
Skills Needed:
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • do root cause analysis, systems testing, defect tracking and resolution 
    • define business requirements and implement business process redesign 
  • Working knowledge of system design and analysis practices
  • Personal ‎competencies in integrity, flexibility/adaptability, stress management, judgment/problem ‎solving and drive for results
  • Knowledge or experience in business process improvement methodologies  
  • Ability to:
    • effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization, as well as across the Purdue
    • IT organization 
    • accept and instigate change and accept project priorities  
    • prioritize personal work tasks and work independently
