Job Summary | Manages the development and maintenance of the University’s enterprise applications and the systems supporting applications including but not limited to human resources, finance, campus solutions and auxiliary services. Leads a team of business analysts and production specialists to support applications. Responsible for project leadership, user interfacing, long range planning and the overall coordination of technical resources. Provides campus direction on what applications to purchase and remains current on the latest technologies and trends. Participates as key contributor in the Information Services & Technology (IS&T) governance structure and other committees across campus. Provides support and participates in the development and promotion of divisional projects, concepts and philosophies. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Business Management. Five (5) years of experience as a business or functional analyst. Programming experience using object-oriented programming languages in a production environment. Experience working with visual report development tools and developing code in relational databases, SQL programming and SQL query development. Experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field. Experience programming PeopleSoft application modules and working with Oracle database management systems. Prior experience supervising, managing and/or leading people. Experience handling Third party providers including vendors, consultants, and managed service partners. Experience with agile methodologies. Certifications in Project Management, Agile methodologies, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) | Skilled in project management, problem-solving and analysis, follow-through and influence and persuasion. Ability to function as systems thinker and be solution minded with a global perspective. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to understand the business owner’s role in ERP system and process design. Ability to quickly engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans. Excellent analytical and programming skills. Skills in logical database design management. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed and forward-thinking.
