The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
Finance & Business Development Manager oversees financial operations and analytics for the Primary Care Initiative and provides support for a full range of business development initiatives related to practice expansion, growth of market share, and competitive position. Finance & Business Development Manager provides high-level support to Chief Business Development Officer and Senior Medical Director of Primary Care to achieve financial and operational goals of the organization.

Responsibilities
FINANCE & OPERATIONS
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Senior Leadership to develop financial strategies and long-term financial plans
  • Prepare Primary Care Budget and financial reporting
  • Prepare and review financial reports of practices (Profit & Loss statements, Billing Reports etc.)
  • Review monthly Profit & Loss statements with Site Medical Directors, advise of any adverse trends
  • Assist in performance of financial and operational assessments of existing practices
  • Assist in the implementation of approved recommendations coming from the practice assessment
  • Design and direct the preparation of ad hoc reports to analyze specific operational and/or financial concerns
DATA ANALYTICS
  • Serve as the primary lead for analytics, overseeing the development and execution of data analytics to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives for Primary Care
  • Utilize data analytics tools (Cognos, Epic, Clarity, Power BI, etc.) and methodologies to extract insights from healthcare data and fill gaps in reporting needs for Senior Leadership
  • Create and maintain the practice and provider dashboards, reporting on various performance metrics such as finance, quality, access and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and identify areas for improvement in patient outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to improve efficiencies within the organization's analytical and reporting tools
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Assist in the preparation and review of business plans for acquiring existing practices, new practices and/or lines of business
  • Provide business plan training to department faculty and staff
  • Monitor and track actual performance against business plan targets
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations on any of the above topic
MANAGED CARE
  • Evaluate payer reimbursement levels to assist the Senior Director of Clinical Business Development in developing business plans
  • Evaluate value-based contract performance and assist Senior Medical Director of Primary Care on strategies and plans for shared-savings distribution to faculty
INTERPERSONAL
  • At the request of the Senior Director of Clinical Business Development or the Senior Medical Director of Primary Care, represent the FPO and Primary Care at department meetings and act as liaison with outside agencies (accounting firms, billing companies, vendors, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other FPO Analysts to enhance the overall support services provided to the department through the design and development of new tools
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Keep up-to-date on Legislative and Industry changes that may affect the manner in which we conduct business
  • Other Duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of experience. 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance & Economics)
  • Advance Excel Skills (VBA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
  • 7 years of related experience
