The Interface Engineering Manager will work with the Internal IT, Solution Architecture, Data Services Platform teams, and departments across the organization to identify business needs, propose technical solutions, evaluate system integration requirements, and develop, manage, and evolve appropriate interface solutions. This role will lead a small team of Interface Engineers and ensure that complex systems work together properly by designing, developing, and evolving interface processes while also contributing to hands-on technical work. This position plays a key role in supporting and maintaining interfaces among Relias’ core internal business systems.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
•    Ability to develop application interfaces in a cloud-hosted environment using services such as Azure Functions, API management, Service Bus, etc. 
•    Develop workflows for bi-directional transactions across systems, processing, and vendors leveraging the Azure environment
•    Responsible for designing, building, integrating data from various resources as well as managing data in both synchronous and asynchronous patterns 
•    Maintaining best practices for access control to transactional data and data quality
•    Implementing and maintaining a high standard for code quality and testing strategies 
•    Utilize enterprise-grade CI-CD practices 
•    Manage a small team of Interface Engineers, providing guidance, setting development standards, conducting code reviews, and managing team workload and performance 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
•    Knowledge of Azure functions, Lambda functions, or equivalent
•    Understanding of the methods and challenges of integration 
•    Basic experience or familiarity in/with the use of data quality technologies 
•    Understanding of operational management and change management
•    Basic experience or familiarity in/with managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization 
•    Ability to analyze complex situations and to derive workable actions 
•    Ability to constructively challenge requirements and current state to increase overall value to the organization 
•    Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to lead virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams 
•    Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change 
•    Understanding of Agile process and familiarity with the Scrum framework  
•    Ability to manage others.
•    5-10 years of programming experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, or another high-level programming language 
•    Experience using CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)  
•    5 years minimum experience with unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end tests, system testing using tools like Postman or Fiddler  
•    5 years minimum experience with databases and querying technologies (relational databases, SQL functions, NoSQL databases)  
•    Experience working with REST, GraphQL, and/or SOAP APIs
•    3-5 years experience designing service-oriented architecture  
•    2-5 years experience with distributed messaging architectures 
•    5+ years of experience writing, testing, and deploying code to production systems and experience mentoring junior engineers to establish standards for the team 
•    Minimum of 3 years experience as an Interfaces Engineer, Software Engineer, or API Developer in moving data 
•    3-5 years experience in managing a team of technical resources in an Agile environment.  
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, engineering, or related field.

IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:
•    Experience working with product team members to develop requirements to meet business needs 
•    Experience creating interfaces with ERP, MAS, and CRM systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Intacct, Quickbase, and LogicGate
