Job Summary/Basic Function | The College of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology (EAST) Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall branding and marketing for the college. The marketing manager also provides marketing strategy and executional support for the departments and functions within EAST. Further marketing support will be given to EAST’s other major initiatives, programs, services and events.
The primary target audience for marketing efforts are WSU students, prospective students at high schools or other Utah universities and colleges, and adult learners including those currently employed seeking to upskill from their current position. Secondary targets include community and government leaders, educational leaders, and business leaders.
Marketing efforts may include, but are not limited to, strategic planning, branding, website development and management, public relations and communications, social media, creative design and advertising.
Required Qualifications | Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing/sales or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field. A minimum of two years of experience working in an ad agency, media sales/advertising, marketing, market research and/or event planning, or related position.
Preferred Qualifications | Preferred: Strong organizational skills including marketing planning experience. Experience with photography and videography Experience with public relations, including both in-person and social media engagements. Experience executing promotional campaigns Seeking candidates with strong interpersonal skills and written communication skills Broad range of computer skills and experience that includes Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and other related programs and software.
