Salary Range: $100,000.00- $125,000.00
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The Financial Operations Manager will serve as a key member of the department’s finance team, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Finance. This role provides critical oversight of financial operations across all Radiology Operations at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), CDNYPI, and CNYPAI locations. The incumbent will manage and support a range of essential activities, including revenue and expense reconciliation, procurement oversight, and financial reporting. The Manager will also contribute to the development and refinement of departmental fund flow processes and policies to support the continued growth and compliance of a complex clinical and research enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor departmental expenditures and support budget review by extracting and analyzing financial data from ARC and other systems.
  • Prepare periodic spending reports and assist in quarterly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of deposit activity to billing systems (IDX & Epic), ensuring discrepancies are resolved in collaboration with site managers and the central billing office.
  • Lead fund flow tracking and policy development to support cross-entity financial transparency and reporting.
  •  Oversee all aspects of the procurement and accounts payable functions:
    • Supervise a team of five.
    • Review and approve purchasing and AP transactions in accordance with Columbia University, government and IRS policies.
    • Manage Joint venture board approval workflows.
  • Review and approve departmental Concur transactions; monitor open commitments and coordinate accruals of goods and services.
  • Maintain responsibility for Quarterly and Annual Accrual Schedules, including NYP Blue Bill processing and reconciliation.
  • Oversee department-wide P-Card reconciliation and hold approval authority for ARC approval up to $15,000.
  • Submit various special payments to Payroll; manage QuickBooks billing for industry service agreements and MSAs.
  • Initiate Financial Security applications and onboarding processes for new staff.
  • Integrate into department operations to support short- or long-term assignments, implementing performance standards and operational analytics.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; at least four years of relevant accounting or financial operations experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare, academic, or research institution.
  • Familiarity with Columbia University systems (ARC, Concur, Epic, IDX) and QuickBooks.
  • Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team.
