How can you make an impact?
The Manager, Project Management is responsible for managing core content production including developing and maintaining quality standards and best practices; implementing new technologies including AI and workflows aimed at shortening time to market; managing assigned core (print and ebook) projects, and leading a team of project managers. The Manager will collaborate internally with content developers, program managers, and the Digital Platform Group; and externally with subject matter experts, authors, and global suppliers to produce accessible and error-free products that enrich the student experience for all learners. 

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. 
 
What you will be doing:
  • Manage a team of project managers. 
  • Manage assigned core (print and ebook) projects 
  • Create and implement workflows based on new tools and technology with the goal of shortening overall production timeframes. 
  • Develop productivity targets; assign projects and monitor workloads for maximum efficiency. Manage team and assignments in order to achieve schedule, quality, and budget goals of all product.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, process improvement, and piloting new digital tools for content creation.  Resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Effectively manage staff; address performance problems and resolve personnel issues. Develop and provide training and growth opportunities for staff.
 
We're looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of project management experience, including digital production;1-3 years of technical product support preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team.
  • Proven agility to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills including providing training and technical support.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills such as time management and attention to detail. 
  • Adept in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, demonstrating solid decision making, and offering creative solutions. 
  • Strong technical competencies and adaptability as the role requires the use of proprietary digital tools to build content. Proficiency with Habitat, Smartsheet, Jira, HTML, and AWS Cloud a plus.

The pay range for this position is between $83,100 - $93,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
