Job Summary
Marketing Communication Specialists

The Department of Family & Preventive Medicine (DFPM) seeks a motivated, creative, and organized individual to fill the Marketing & Communications Specialist role. The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the department’s communications and marketing efforts across strategic, creative, technical, and administrative domains. The specialist contributes to internal and external communications, content development, event support, and digital platforms. 

Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and communications plans for both internal and external audiences.
  2. Write and edit content for news stories, press releases, and newsletters.
  3. Create, schedule, and publish social media content across platforms using best practices and creative approaches.
  4. Maintain and update website content using web content management systems.
  5. Support internal communication efforts for employee-facing channels.
  6. Assist with planning and logistics for department events including promotional materials, photography, and coordination.
  7. Maintain records and archives of communications assets.
  8. Provide administrative support for communication operations.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Engage in the development and execution of strategic marketing communications to efficiently support product launch campaigns and company brand across various communication channels. Create communication programs that promote the organization and its products and services through various means including blogs and social media, websites, product collateral, logos, or other promotional products. Collaborate with external partners/vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns. Develop a calendar for social media campaigns and initiatives to ensure constant interaction and engagement with customers and prospects. Assist in analyzing marketing data to help shape future marketing strategies. Requires basic skill set and proficiency. Conducts work assignments as directed. Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences
