About the Position:
University Marketing Communications (UMC) at Loyola University Chicago seeks a Marketing Communications Specialist to support the integrated marketing communications efforts of the College of Arts and Sciences. The position will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and be an integral part of a team of school-based communicators at Loyola.
 
In coordination with the dean and colleagues in Enrollment Marketing, Advancement, and Alumni Relations, the school’s marketing communications specialist position is responsible for supporting and executing strategy that amplifies the public presence of the school and the channels it uses to effectively communicate with and engage target audiences. Planning priorities and work effort will be determined in coordination with the dean and marketing communications manager.

Your primary responsibilities include
Identify, create, and distribute compelling content across all communication channels and relevant audiences. Channels could include websites, social media, emails, and marketing materials. Update and implement the strategy for the school’s social media presence. Help maintain the school’s website.  Collaborate with Dean’s cabinet and MarCom Manager to develop and implement strategic external and internal marketing and communications plans. Support and evaluate results of the college’s marketing campaigns. Support event promotion for college-based events targeting external audiences. Maintain direct lines of communication and efficient project management with UMC staff. Attend college-wide and relevant staff meetings, serve on college committees, and participate in the life of the college. Support the University’s and the college’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals Additional marketing and communications activities in support of the College of Arts and Sciences. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience  | Bachelor’s degree in related field and two to five years of related experience.
Qualifications  | To be successful in this position, you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two-years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications, including content production that includes but not limited to storytelling and social media Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Basic design skills with Adobe Creative Cloud programs. Demonstrated project and organizational management skills and a history of successfully delivering projects. Experience in web content management systems and relevant design software is preferred.
