About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to create and manage strategies and implement tactics that showcase the value of Wiley's courseware products for the higher education chemistry and business markets. 
 
The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing innovative marketing campaigns that drive demand and nurture customers throughout their buying process. 
 
Excellent communication, planning, and presentation skills, as well as attention to detail, and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, are crucial. This position works closely with Sales, Editorial, and Product Design colleagues to develop and execute strategic plans for Wiley's higher education courseware products for chemistry and business. 
 
Job Responsibilities: 
 
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans with measurable goals and objectives.  
  • Track the effectiveness of tactics and strategies by regularly analyzing results and taking action to improve performance. 
  • Create go-to-market strategies, sales tool kits, messaging templates, and other collateral and sales enablement pieces. 
  • Work with Sales and Customer Success to effectively engage with chemistry and business instructors, position and present products, and overcome objections. 
  • Create account-based strategies and track top target lists for new products and features. 
  • Interact with chemistry and business instructors through conferences, conversations, and social media. 
  • Partner with Research colleagues to conduct surveys with instructors and students to generate insights about the higher education chemistry and business markets. 
  • Test and validate value propositions in the field with individual interviews and live focus groups. 
  • Develop and implement market development strategies to create awareness, engagement, and leads for new products. 
  • Build and maintain competitive landscapes. 
  • Create differentiated value propositions and positioning for products. 
  • Demonstrate the use of tools through customer calls and presentations. 
  • Develop relationships with authors and advocates while identifying new advocates, thought leaders, partners, and influencers. 
  • Manage webinars, trade shows, and other events for the chemistry and business markets. 
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • BA or BS degree, preferably in business or marketing. 
  • 3+ years of successful experience in marketing or selling technology products. Experience with higher education technology products is a plus. 
  • Analytical skills that lead to effective product management, and product differentiation. 
  • Strong writing, communication, and technology presentation skills.  
  • Strong experience with CRM, preferably Salesforce.  
  • Experience with digital marketing tools for marketing automation, website management, and events is a plus. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment to identify and prioritize opportunities. Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple priorities. 
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage campaigns and sales enablement activities. Ability to influence people in other functional areas. 
  • Must be willing to travel to several conferences a year.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
