Job SummaryThe primary purpose of the Marketing & Communications Specialist III is to serve as a senior contributor in the design and development of marketing and communications content in areas related to public relations, crisis communications, internal communications, executive communications, social media, advertising/digital marketing, recruitment materials, lead generation, and Strategic Enrollment Management plans/communications to support the institution's goals.
Job Duties:1. Develop and execute the college or system-targeted marketing strategies, communication campaigns, and public relations activities. Promote college academic programs and services through various media, including special System-wide marketing initiatives. Serve as primary contact for media relations and press release dissemination; assist Vice President for Marketing and Advancement with crisis communications.
2. Design college publications as needed and advise on production and effective use of promotional/marketing materials. Serve as the point of contact for Ricoh printing service, advertising agencies, and other vendors. Oversee production from concept to finished product.
3. Promote special events, news, and academic programs across social media, including Facebook and Twitter. Monitor and respond to communications through social media outlets.
4. Manage content for college website and intranet, in cooperation with college departments and KCTCS web services department. Ensure accurate communication with both internal and external audiences through the college website and intranet, including landing pages, RFI forms, and other digital assets.
5. Other duties as assigned by Vice President for Marketing and Advancement.


Minimum Qualifications:1. Bachelor degree and 4 years of related work experience, or equivalent.
2. High-energy, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented professional.
3. Must be a self-motivator, who can take initiative, meet deadlines and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment.
4. Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
