Marketing Program Manager (SEO + Community) Full Description

About Cambly

Cambly is transforming how the world learns English. With millions of students across the globe and thousands of native English-speaking tutors, we've created a platform where real conversations lead to real fluency. We're not just another language app—we're building authentic human connections that break down barriers and open up opportunities.

As we expand, we're scaling our creative capabilities to match our global ambitions. This is where you come in.

About the Role

We're looking for a strategic, creative builder who can establish Cambly's voice in organic channels from the ground up—someone who sees the white space and knows how to own it. If you thrive on 0-to-1 challenges, love the intersection of content and growth, and want your work to directly impact millions of learners worldwide, this role is for you.

You'll own our SEO/AEO strategy and community presence, establishing sustainable channels that reduce our reliance on paid advertising while building trust and authority with professional English learners in Japan, Korea, and globally. This is a high-impact role where you'll create new programs, coordinate cross-functional teams, and directly influence Cambly's long-term growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Cambly's SEO/AEO program to increase organic search visibility and ranking for high-intent keywords across markets in APAC, LATAM, and Europe, including localized blog strategy, influencer partnerships for backlinks, and technical SEO implementation in partnership with the Product team.

  • Develop global social media strategy with localized content approaches for different markets and platforms, including Instagram optimization and YouTube expansion plans.

  • Outline measurable goals and create monthly reports on how we are tracking against them.

  • Create content strategy centered on social proof: user testimonials, tutor spotlights, student success stories, and product education that drives conversion and builds community trust.

  • Build community management frameworks for global platforms (including Naver - Korea, among others), local review sites, and global social channels with culturally relevant messaging.

  • Manage SEO content agencies and coordinate with creative teams (designers, video editors, copywriters) to produce high-quality, on-brand content at scale.

  • Track, analyze, and report on SEO, social, and community performance metrics to measure impact, inform strategy iterations, and present insights to leadership.

  • Partner with Growth, Product, and Marketing teams to align content strategy with business goals while monitoring competitive landscape and platform trends in target markets.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, or digital marketing with proven track record of building and scaling organic channels

  • Demonstrated expertise in SEO/AEO strategy, including technical SEO, content optimization, and link-building programs

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and content strategies across multiple channels (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)

  • Experience developing and executing content strategies that drive measurable business results (traffic, engagement, conversion)

  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or content teams to produce high-quality work at scale

  • Proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar) and ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
