DESCRIPTION

This position will require you to be located in Cleveland, OH We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH.    
   
The Marketing & Sales Operations Specialist's responsibilities include providing comprehensive operational support across various departments, including Marketing, Sales, Partner Support, Publisher Account Services, Public Library North America, Education, and International Sales. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness to elevate the quality and value of organizational efforts. Responsibilities include defining and refining end-to-end workflows, documentation, system design, reporting, budget alignment, and fostering collaboration among multiple teams. Additionally, the Specialist will contribute to streamlining sales-related operations, including lead triaging, contract review, playbook enforcement, sales process definition, and KPI analysis to drive productivity. Proactively driving operational improvements in system design, reporting mechanisms, lead/contact/opportunity/contract flow, process optimization, communication strategies, and cross-functional collaboration are integral aspects of this role.      
    
Responsibilities:    
  
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize operational efficiency and support end-to-end marketing and sales processes, including designing workflows, defining roles and decision points, and establishing timelines and budgets.
  • Evaluate, improve, and implement tools and methodologies to increase organizational efficiency and agility, including researching and identifying relevant software solutions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), lead data collection and analysis, and communicate performance results to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate campaign processes, approvals, and effectiveness analysis, including attributing opportunities created by campaigns and analyzing customer experience funnels.
  • Manage marketing administrative functions within Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and other relevant technologies.
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of operational changes, including developing and implementing training and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute operational plans, optimize processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and distribute reports for key metrics, automate reporting processes, and ensure data accuracy in partnership with the analytics team.
  • Oversee forecasting processes and provide analytical support to sales leaders to drive increased predictability and effectiveness in business operations.
  • Provide operational support as needed, including tracking renewals, analyzing pipelines, and assisting with sales-related activities.
  • Perform ad hoc analytical tasks to support sales leaders and other stakeholders.

Requirements:      
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, operations, business administration, information technology, business management, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business operations, or accounting operations, with proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing business operations, with demonstrated organizational skills and initiative to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in creating reports, building visualizations, and utilizing macros and queries to clean and transform data for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong strategic thinking ability coupled with attention to detail, enabling effective navigation of fast-paced, dynamic environments and coordination of multiple workstreams.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein Analytics or Tableau, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel-based modeling.
  • Demonstrated business intelligence experience and the ability to collaborate with data analysts to derive actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player and adapt communication style to convey information concisely at an Executive level.
