Job Description

The Learning Resources Center (LRC) is an integral part of the academic units that report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The LRC advances the mission of the college through a comprehensive, readily accessible collection of VPCC curriculum related informational materials, instructional technologies, and other academic support services that meet the educational needs of students, faculty, and staff.

Provides individual and small group instruction, assistance, and resources to currently enrolled students who encounter math-related problems in their VPCC courses.

This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (Clery Act) and Responsible Employee (Title IX).
Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Knowledge Demonstrated understanding of mathematics foundations (arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics) necessary for success in associates degrees and certificate level career and technical programs and courses. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software, databases, and electronic communications. Proficiency with graphing calculators.
