MEEP Team Leader - Medicare Outreach and Enrollment Full Description

Overview: 
The Medicare Eligibility Enhancement Programs (MEEP) Team Leader plays a key role in supporting project execution by coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and facilitating communication between teams. The Team Leader will participate in the daily operations of the Medicare Outreach and Enrollment project which provides customer service to Medicaid clients to assist them with the Medicare enrollment process. This hands-on position is responsible for tracking project progress, assigning tasks based on workload and resource allocation, and ensuring that deliverables align with organizational goals. The Team Leader works closely with stakeholders to optimize workflows and improve processes while maintaining project documentation. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate and track project activities, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Support project teams by managing schedules, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between project team members, leadership, and other stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor project milestones and provide status updates, identifying risks and potential roadblocks.
  • Adjust task assignments based on resource availability and workload demands.
  • Assist in process improvements to optimize efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with project guidelines, policies, and best practices.
  • Train, mentor, and support project team members
  • Handle and resolve escalated customer service issues.
  • Escalate issues or scope-related concerns to leadership for resolution.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or administrative support within a project-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
 
Additional Information:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in Medicaid and Medicare benefits [industry-specific requirement, if applicable
  • Experience working with federal and state agencies, preferably health and human service organizations. 
  • Knowledge of state and federal health insurance programs.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and data analysis for tracking project performance. 
  • Ability to utilize questioning and listening skills that support effective telephone communication.
  • Ability to apply the proper telephone etiquette to satisfy various client and agency situations.
  • Ability to understand, apply and explain pertinent laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
