MPH Program Assistant Full Description

Overview: 
The MPH assistant will be instrumental in assisting the MPH director in the day-to-day management of the program.

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide individualized support to current students regarding program milestones, academic requirements, and School of Graduate Studies policies and forms
  • Maintain and update the MPH Canvas page, including creation of weekly announcements, and resource development and organization
  • Prepare agendas for faculty and stakeholder meetings; attend and take detailed minutes; track action items and follow-up tasks
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students and assist with program recruitment efforts 
  • Assist with administering program evaluations and preparing annual reports
  • Oversee all MPH program data management, including student records, alumni tracking, practicum/preceptorship documentation, and other accreditation requirements
  • Coordinate communication among MPH faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders to support teaching, advising, and programmatic activities
  • Assist in creating and updating program materials, including program handbooks, program websites, informational materials, and student guides
  • Assist in producing the quarterly MPH newsletter and managing program social media accounts
  • Assist the program director in CEPH accreditation requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee Student Advisory Board activities
  • Provide individualized support to students in identifying practicum sites and developing practicum learning contracts
  • Perform additional administrative and strategic duties as assigned by the program director
 
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of higher education
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and use Qualtrics
  • Highly organized

Preferred Qualification:
  • Educational or professional experience in public health
  • Program management experience
  • Experience with academic/community partnerships
  • Experience with Canvas or other LMS platforms
