Multilingual Learner Enablement Specialist 
Remote (this job may be performed from any state in the U.S) 
 
The ML Content Enablement Specialist supports LOBs in implementing research based best practices to support multilingual learners in English products and supports in Spanish Language product lines. The ML Content Enablement Specialist manages projects that support creating, revising or giving strategic feedback to products aligned to HMH ML company guidelines, research and classroom best practices with the guidance of the VP ML Content Enablement. The MLES is responsible for understanding project interdependencies and basic workflows so that components that are dependent on one another are placed with partners in a sensible way. The MLES develops and maintains relationships with strategic partners, utilizing standard operating processes with our partners and/or the contingent workforce. 
 
Responsibilities 
 
Understands Project Scope 
Has a thorough understanding of project scope and expertise needed. Plans and provides timelines to ensure on time and on budget delivery of multilingual learner supports, professional learning or supports with sourcing the right expertise, managing project parameters and setting guidelines to support any contingent labor. Understands thoroughly the research base and pedagogy necessary to complete the project scope in conjunction with the Director of ML Content Enablement 
Professional Learning and Capacity Building 
Engages stakeholders in continuous learning about how to better support ML students. Uses HMH guidelines for MLs to create targeted professional learning for internal stakeholders to further build internal capacity and alignment in the content created. Must understand both digital and print and opportunities for enhancing current products to better serve the needs of multilingual learners 
Content Development and Supports 
Creates ML supports within current products both digital and print with guidance from the Director of ML Content Enablement and HMH guidelines for supporting ML students, is able to review current ML supports and give concrete suggestion for next steps for a product or enhancement. Reviews work from any vendors and consultants to ensure quality development and can support teams with advisory and technical assistance. Must be familiar with our current product offerings and opportunities to better support all LOBs. 
Customer Focus 
• Uses functional expertise, best practice communication, and leadership skills to manage complex relationships and influence positive change. Manages and builds positive relationships across the Sourcing team with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Provides and solicits feedback early and often from all stakeholders throughout the project. Works with internal teams to capacity build and partner while also incorporating outside expertise to ensure quality standards. 
Represents ML Enablement Team 
• Acts as a role model for the ML Enablement team and a mentor for Associate Managers (if applicable) in all aspects of the work performed. Advocates and participates in process improvement and positive change initiatives. Acts in conjunction with Director to achieve own and team member's personal and professional growth. 
 
What You'll Need 
BS or BA in education or related discipline 
2+ years of educational publishing experience, or relevant equivalent experience. 
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements:  
  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meeting

Salary: $58,000 - $64,000
