We are seeking a Lead Multimedia Designer to join our Design & Creative Services team. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by serving as a senior creative contributor within the multimedia team. You will lead high-impact productions, shape creative direction, and help drive operational excellence across video, photo, and multimedia content.

You will collaborate closely with the Multimedia Design Manager and broader Design & Creative Services team to execute multimedia content across the EdPlus portfolio, including ASU Online marketing campaigns, social media, YouTube content, brand storytelling, and internal communications.

In your day to day, you will act as a trusted production lead on complex projects, mentor team members, guide production workflows, lead the cinematography and editing for several shoots, and uphold a high standard of craft across all deliverables.

NOTE: This is an in-person, hybrid position. You must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, AZ.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead multimedia production across video, photo, social media, YouTube, campaign, and brand storytelling content from concept through delivery.

  • Serve as a lead creative contributor by directing shoots, filming, interviewing subjects, editing, and supporting post-production workflows.

  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop multimedia content aligned with campaign goals and brand standards.

  • Coordinate production logistics, including scheduling, equipment planning, locations, talent coordination, and production timelines.

  • Maintain high creative and technical standards across video, audio, lighting, editing, and motion graphics deliverables.

  • Support project workflows and concurrent productions in partnership with the Multimedia Design Manager and broader Design & Creative Services team.

  • Provide mentorship and production guidance to student workers and junior multimedia contributors.

  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding timelines, deliverables, creative direction, and project expectations.

  • Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.

Production Expertise

  • Proven experience creating high-quality multimedia content across video, photo, motion graphics, and digital storytelling formats.

  • Evidence of strong technical proficiency in camera operation, lighting, audio capture, editing, and post-production workflows.

  • Experience leading productions and coordinating shoots involving multiple stakeholders, locations, or contributors.

  • Demonstrated understanding of platform-specific storytelling across social media, YouTube, campaigns, and brand content.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently own projects from concept through delivery while collaborating effectively within a larger creative team.

  • Evidence of advanced proficiency in editing software, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Davinci Resolve.

  • Experience with professional video, audio, and lighting equipment.

Creative Leadership & Collaboration

  • Experience mentoring or guiding creative contributors, student workers, or junior team members.

  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrated strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance creative ambition with operational reliability and deadline management.

  • Experience working within a collaborative service-team environment supporting multiple internal clients or departments.
