Department Summary
The Department of Preclinical Research Services at the UNT System College of Pharmacy is located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, Ranked among the top 50 medical schools for seven consecutive years, the UNTHSC is a 33-acre graduate school located in the city's Cultural District with a local economic impact of $500 million annually. The UNT System College of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school in Texas located on an academic health science center campus.

The researchers can have a strong interdisciplinary partnership with other departments at the UNTHSC and in the midst of a robust pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical trial industry present in the DFW area. We can make healthcare better through teamwork.

Position Overview
Responsible for financial reporting, accounting and analytical functions, including preparation of financial statements as required for the cost centers. Coordinate financial activities including management of grants, and restricted funds, review and approval of all personnel and non personnel financial transactions. This position is funded 80 from contract revenue as generated by the PreClinical Services Department, and 20 from local funding sources.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesQuickbooks, Concur, Contract experience, Cost Center operation knowledge.
Preferred QualificationsMBA, experience placing animal orders, forecasting.

Job Duties:
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet database or presentation software.Preparation of invoices, and financial reports for PreClinical Services.Order Laboratory supplies and/or equipment for PreClinical Services Department.Responsible for preparation of ePars and payroll processing.Responsible for the administration of onboarding and offboarding employees, working closely with System and Campus HR.Ability to analyze, consolidate, and reconcile financial data including reviewing budget reports, preparing budget notifications, and recommendations.Coordinate financial activities including preparation of fiscal reports for grants and cost center; management of grants, restricted funds, and endowments.
