Position Summary
  • Coordinate parking operations for MSU campus events
  • Scheduling /directing staff, maintaining client/customer service satisfaction
  • The Operations Coordinator ensures all positions are staffed as scheduled.
  • Supervise and train staff on specific responsibilities.
  • Coordinate staffing points for safe inbound/outbound event traffic
  • Manage parkhub event payment system.
  • Responsible for event set up, break down equipment and inventory.
  • Promote customer relations
  • Generation of reports related to event revenue and space utilization.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work as a team with differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness in a fast paced position.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the first two or three years of college, such as an Associate’s degree in a business-related field, criminal justice, or hospitality; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service, security, or event coordination; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated skills of leadership and communication, a well-developed sense of responsibility, sensitivity to individual differences, a positive self-concept, and an obvious interest and enthusiasm for working with students are desirable characteristics for professional, pre-professional and paraprofessional staff members.
