Position Description/Overview:
 
The Organizational Development (OD) & Engagement Specialist will be a driving force in enhancing organizational effectiveness through strategic Talent Management initiatives. By applying established OD practices and collaborating closely with leaders at all levels, this role will be pivotal in achieving impactful results across the business. The core focus is to elevate employee engagement, cultivate strong leadership capabilities, and foster a dynamic learning environment. This includes leading key projects such as the execution of engagement surveys and the provision of dedicated support to business areas to achieve measurable engagement improvements, the creation and implementation of impactful leadership development programs, the management of comprehensive learning and training initiatives, the administration of High Potential (HiPo) programs to nurture future leaders, contributions to strategic succession planning, the development of targeted employee development programs, and the facilitation of continuous professional growth opportunities for the entire workforce.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage OD projects from initiation to completion, including developing project plans, timelines, communication strategies, and monitoring progress against goals. These projects include but are not limited to Engagement Surveys (and ongoing support in key areas of the business to drive increased scores), leadership development programs, learning and training initiatives, HiPo programming, succession planning and development programming, and ongoing professional development for all employees. 
  • Facilitation & Training: Design and deliver engaging and impactful workshops, training sessions, and facilitation for various audiences. 
  • Engagement Survey Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze engagement survey results and support action planning focused on targeted improvements in employee engagement. Provide synthesis of data to targeted reports utilized within the HR/Executive Team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Collaborate with leaders to identify the causes of high or low engagement and make specific and actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Best Practice Research: Stay current with OD trends, methodologies, and best practices to bring innovative solutions to the organization.
  • Some travel to Chicago is expected, once or twice a quarter.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably including performance/process improvement, employee engagement, and learning and development programming.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication (written and verbal) skills, demonstrating an understanding of adult learning theory.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday), survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics), Google platform, and Learning Management System (LMS) reporting.

Preferred:
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and evaluating employee engagement strategies and programs that drive positive organizational outcomes.
  • Experience in the development and facilitation of High Potential (HiPo) development programs, including talent identification, assessment, and targeted development planning, and tracking. 
  • Familiarity with talent management best practices, including performance management, succession planning, change management, and career development.
  • Familiarity with assessment methodologies (i.e. Kirkpatrick, Success Case Method).
  • Experience in designing and developing leadership curriculum with competency models is highly desirable.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP, ATD certifications, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Salary Range
$70,900.00-86,850.00
