Job Description  | The Out-of-State Family Engagement Team will focus on youth who are out-of-state in group residential facilities and psychiatric residential treatment facilities. The Team will work directly with the family to ensure barriers to a child returning home are addressed, a crisis plan is developed, and natural and community supports are identified. The Director will oversee all statement of work activities and supervise the OOS Family Engagement Specialist.

Applicants can be located anywhere in WV or bordering states but must have worked with WV youth. The position is remote
.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Family Engagement Team; assure program goals, objectives, activities are met at specified stages in timeline.
• Supervision of Family Engagement Specialist to ensure a viable discharge and crisis plan is developed for each child
• Partner with WVICCC Director, Aetna, DoHS and OOS providers to address discharge barriers related to youth returning to family.
• Supervise and Train Family Finding/Seeing search as needed
• Collect required data for reports. • Create Policies and Procedures for the program.
• Attend state and OOS meetings related to discharge planning.
• Experience in organizing services and teams.
• Experience in working with children and their families with intense needs.
• Experience working with children who have intellectual needs, sexually acting out behaviors, trauma or other intensive needs is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in wraparound and/or crisis planning preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work with community partners.
• Must be able to work from home and work flexible hours.
• CANS and CAFAS certifications preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in Crisis Management, CSED services or Wraparound
• An understanding of youth with intensive needs.
• Skills in using virtual platforms, such as ZOOM.
• Strong Organizational Skills.
