Job Description
Residency Requirements: Must reside in Michigan.
The Parent Success Coach supports student retention by providing non-instructional intervention and support to students.. This individual is responsible for working with students and parents to identify online learning strengths and areas for improvement, provide excellent customer service, and ensure student improvement through intervention strategies. The Academic Coach will monitor, track and address the needs of the students specifically about online learning success factors while building and maintaining relationships with students and parents. The duties of the Student Success Coach are fulfilled remotely.

  • Builds positive, collaborative relationships with parents to strengthen their role as learning coaches. 
  • Provides regular check-ins with families to identify challenges and connect them with appropriate resources or interventions. 
  • Collaborates with staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student and family success. 
  • Offers training sessions, workshops, or webinars on effective strategies for supporting students in virtual learning. 
  • Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn and teach online learning platforms and tools. 
  • Organized and proactive 
  • Monitoring live or recorded class sessions to identify and report on classroom conflicts, inappropriate behavior (student/adult), or other concerns that may impact the learning environment. 
  • Assists parents in problem-solving barriers to engagement such as technology use, time management, and learning environment setup at home. 
  • Encourage and empower parents to celebrate student successes and advocate for their child's needs. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate degree AND
· 2 or more years customer service experience
· Experience working with children or youth
· Demonstrated proficiency in using online tools and applications
· Professional verbal and writing skills
· Comfortable with online and telephone communication with customers
· Ability to pass required background check.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Tutoring experience or experience as a school or classroom aid
-State teaching license preferred.
