JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Office of Science Outreach is seeking a part-time Program Support Assistant to assist with materials and preparations for our annual Haunted-U event. This position will support the planning and execution of event-related materials, including creating visual assets for use in print and digital platforms, updating existing materials to align with event themes, and preparing content for participant engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the creation and refinement of materials for event promotion and on-site use (e.g., signage, flyers, digital displays).
- Adapting existing templates and resources to reflect current event information.
- Collaborating with staff to ensure materials are accurate, engaging, and ready for use by the event date.
- Supporting general event preparation tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and ability to follow brand or style guidelines.
- Experience using common creative tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms) preferred.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Interest in informal science events and outreach is a plus.
This is a temporary position anticipated to run through the Haunted-U event period. Hours are flexible and will vary based on project needs.
