Job Description  | The Pre-ETS Trainer will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Pre-ETS Center for the ACCES-VR Syracuse region for purposes of providing pre-ETS services to students with disabilities in secondary, post-secondary, non-traditional or alternative education programs (between the ages of 14 and 22).

The incumbent will be responsible for program planning and coordination, as well as development and implementation of curriculum and work plans. The Pre-ETS Trainer will be expected to build collaborative relationships with partners from the community, families, and school districts, and work closely with the Senior VRC Transition and Youth Services (TAYS) or other designated staff in the ACCES-VR District Office(s) to engage students with disabilities in career exploration and employment. The Pre-ETS Trainer will report to the Director of Pre-ETS.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Education and Experience  | Bachelors or Associates or higher in Rehabilitation Counseling, Education or a Human Services Related Field). 2+ years of relevant experience delivering and/or supervising educational or vocational services to students with disabilities (ages 14-22).
Skills and Knowledge  | Strong analytical, technical, computer, oral and written communication skills Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills for building partnerships with community organizations, schools, and families Creative problem-solving abilities to address diverse student needs Ability to coordinate program activities and support implementation of work plans Understanding of budget tracking and reporting Experience working with underserved populations ages 14-22 Understanding of and experience working with students with disabilities Ability to deliver curriculum and facilitate career exploration activities Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and education partners Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities  | Provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to students with disabilities in secondary, post-secondary, non-traditional, or alternative education programs (ages 14-22). Deliver direct services in school and community-based settings, supporting student engagement, skill development, and transition planning activities. Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Pre-ETS to facilitate day-to-day program activities within the Syracuse University community. Assist the Director of Pre-ETS with project support activities, including maintaining timelines, entering and reviewing data, and contributing to quarterly reporting and progress tracking. Support task coordination based on annual planning priorities. Support proposal preparation, budget development, expenditure tracking, and fiscal reporting. Communicate with the Director of Pre-ETS and the SOE Business Office regarding projects. Other duties as assigned.
