Description of Work | Produce compelling, creative content for Nebraska Public Media with an emphasis on digital-first series, shorts, and reels. Bring Nebraska’s stories to life with compelling content that explores the state’s people, places, events and cultures. Create engaging short & long-form content employing best practices in writing and producing for digital native audiences, utilizing strong writing and original storytelling skills.

Minimum Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications, film, emerging media, or related field plus three (3) years’ experience originating, developing, writing, and producing non-fiction television or digital content is essential; equivalent education/experience considered. Strong interpersonal skills necessary. Skill in television or digital production, copywriting and editing, knowledge of current events, computer literacy. Strong writing and original story-telling skills. Familiarity with EFP, multi-camera studio and remote production.
Preferred Qualifications | Experience with multi-camera productions, short form writing and producing, and digital content production. Hands-on nonlinear editing skills, skills as a single camera videographer, intern supervision and mentoring. Budgeting experience.
