We’re seeking a passionate, talented Product Designer to help ensure our products are valuable, intuitive, and crafted to high standards. The role initially focuses on two key areas: product design and user research on our flagship product, Reach CMS (including Raise and Encompass). 
 
Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Combining quant/qual research insights, rapid iteration, and testing to craft data informed, user centered solutions
  • Taking broad, conceptual ideas and turning them into something useful, useable and valuable across mobile and web
  • Prototyping, testing, and iterating. Jumping between ‘discovery’ mode (prototyping ideas and seeking feedback) and ‘delivery’ mode (nailing the flow, interactions, and accessibility)
  • Working collaboratively within product teams with product managers, developers and data scientists to bring your ideas to life
  • Being autonomous. Taking full ownership of your work and responsibility for every detail, every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to high-fidelity designs, to what is finally shipped
  • Taking an active role in our design community, sharing ideas, upskilling in how to best use AI and contributing to our lunch and learns

The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years as a product designer on both mobile and web products
  • Expertise in UX design, interaction design, information architecture and visual design, with a strong understanding of how to work with design systems 
  • Excel at designing simple, inclusive, elegant products. A rigorous attention to detail when designing interaction flows and states, which consider all screen sizes from mobile, through tablet and desktop
  • Strategic product thinker you can prioritize what’s important and cut anything that isn’t essential
  • Adept at addressing short-term design needs, and delivering value to users incrementally, while making strides towards long term vision
  • Strong portfolio showcasing solid user-centered design practice and high-quality design execution
  • User obsessed and data informed, balancing qualitative insights with usage and behavioral analytics to inform your designs
  • 'Get out of the building' mentality, taking your ideas out to customers to get feedback early on is part of your DNA
  • Experience running formative and evaluative research including usability testing
  • Strong technical knowledge. Experience in partnering closely with developers, you understand the technical considerations of design 
  • Team player and exceptional communicator you can simplify complexity, tell compelling stories and get buy in for critical design decisions, effectively communicating at senior levels and on customer calls
  • Solid knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA and 2.2 AA)
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies and experience working within global agile teams and how design fits into this
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with remote, globally distributed teams, maintaining strong relationships across teams with diverse cultures and work styles
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
 
Preferred skills/qualifications:
  • Experience designing and working with AI and machine learning 
  • Solid understanding of HTML / CSS, and an understanding of Web Frameworks and React
 
Pay range is $79,000 - $118,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
