Primary Purpose
The Product Manager/Product Owner will own day-to-day product execution for Bright Horizons’ Sales CRM platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365), ensuring high-quality delivery, clear requirements, and operational efficiency improvements for Enrollment Managers and Contact Center teams.
This role is responsible for translating business needs into actionable backlog items, driving sprint execution, and serving as the primary point of contact for engineering on in-flight initiatives.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite at our headquarters in Newton, MA.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Backlog Ownership & Story Quality (Core Responsibility)
- Own and maintain the team backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Rewrite and refine legacy/inherited user stories into clear, actionable requirements
- Ensure every story includes:
- Defined workflow impact
- Acceptance criteria
- Dependencies
- Success metrics (where applicable)
- Break down large initiatives into delivery-ready increments
2. Sprint Execution & Agile Ceremonies
- Run or co-run:
- Backlog refinement
- Sprint planning
- Daily standups (as needed)
- Sprint reviews
- Ensure sprint readiness:
- Stories are groomed, sized, and understood
- Track and manage:
- Sprint scope changes
- Blockers and risks
3. Developer Support & Requirement Clarification
- Serve as first line of support for:
- Developer questions
- Workflow clarifications
- Edge cases
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve unknowns quickly
- Reduce engineering downtime due to unclear requirements
4. Stakeholder Intake & Triage
- Manage incoming requests from:
- Sales (Enrollment Managers)
- Contact Center Operations
- Marketing / Analytics
- Triage and categorize:
- Bug vs enhancement vs net-new initiative
- Prepare structured inputs for prioritization
5. Release Readiness & Communication
- Prepare:
- Release notes
- Change summaries for Ops
- Ensure features are:
- Tested (UAT coordination)
- Documented
- Partner with Ops on:
- Training readiness
- Adoption tracking
6. Basic Reporting & Operational Metrics
- Track and report on:
- Sprint delivery metrics
- Defect trends
- Feature adoption (where available)
- Support build-out of dashboards (Power BI / D365)
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership in an Agile/Scrum environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Writing user stories & acceptance criteria
- CRM platforms (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Strong requirement writing and documentation
- Comfortable working with engineering teams daily
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage ambiguity and incomplete legacy work
- Contact center workflows (case management, call flows)
- SaaS or service-based business models
- Power BI or reporting tools

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $95,000-$135,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
