PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Lead the product strategy and drive development of Savvas Learning eText application, as well as key  features on the Realize Roadmap.  
  • Own the product strategy and work to translate strategic business objectives into actionable development  initiatives that drive value for the business.  
  • Define the platform product requirements and lead the development teams through the Agile product  development process.  
  • Stay close with customer and market needs, so as to ensure that the strategy is grounded in a deep  understanding of the k-12 context in which the product is purchased and utilized.  
  • Perform frequent competitive analyses and reviews market offerings in comparison to our products.  Serve as lead product evangelist, working at internal sessions (summer sales meetings) and external  industry events (trade shows) to demo and promote the value proposition offered by the product. 
  • Remote work permitted. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field of study. 
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Product Manager, Engineer, Education Development Manager, or related  role where required experience gained.  
  • Also requires experience in the following:  
    • Defining or sourcing, launching and managing profitable products; 
    • Engaging the target market: prospective and existing customers, partners and other stakeholders; Negotiation, collaboration and teamwork skills; 
    • Understanding of K-12 School Systems and the K-12 education technology market: Talking and presenting to key stakeholders and providing quality inputs to development team and reviewing completed work to see of any unknown requirements that emerged through the development process; 
    • Influencing and working effectively in cross-functional teams; 
    • Building and managing the product development roadmap; 
    • Managing a complex roadmap that supports a wide variety of competing objectives and priorities and burndown charts and other development team metrics; 
    • Managing software product development, including privacy requirements, accessibility requirements, and other considerations that are unique to the Education Technology space by reviewing volume of reworks  and missing requirements between ideation and delivery of a feature.
