Description
TCI delivers innovative content to more than 50,000 K-12 schools across the nation via our award-winning products. As an established EdTech company, we make a difference in the lives of thousands of teachers and students every day through our programs, including the History Alive!, Social Studies Alive!, and Bring Science Alive! series.  

The Production Associate is responsible for creating and using InDesign templates to create and update page layouts for our print products, uploading and updating content for our online platform, and modifying images and illustrations for both print and digital. 

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Creates and maintains documentation of current processes and updates existing documentation.
  • Prototypes new items to ensure they meet new needs while staying consistent with existing materials.
  • Tests prototypes created by others to ensure the model works with a variety of content.
  • Organizes training documentation and provides training for new team members prior to project start. 
  • Reviews content created or edited by team members for consistency and quality, to ensure that impacts on other programs and components are considered, and that the latest software tools and content innovations are being used. 
  • Acquires assets, based on approved vendors, for projects as needed while maintaining the data on a Global Media Map.  
  • Corrects errors and makes changes online and in print, following reprint steps and guidelines, and approves printer proofs as assigned.
  • Creates and follows established guidelines to ensure the quality of new items.
  • Enters new content into online tools to match editorial needs and lays out content in InDesign for print use. 

Requirements
  • Must be expert in using InDesign, including the use of master pages within the application
  • Proficiency with Illustrator/Photoshop 
  • Proficiency with asset management, including understanding licensing terms and managing detailed tracking sheets.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
  • Ability to focus on a task and work to completion
  • Experience with basic HTML is a plus

Salary Range: $31.00/hr - $38.00/hr

This is a full-time remote position. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related experience, skills, and location. TCI offers medical, dental, vision, 401k benefits, PTO and bonus eligibility.
