Description of Work  | The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dairy Extension is dedicated to supporting Nebraska’s dairy industry through science-based education, resources, and outreach. With expertise in dairy production and agricultural systems, the team works to empower producers in building operations that are profitable, sustainable, and resilient. UNL Dairy Extension promotes responsible stewardship of natural resources while enhancing the well-being of both people and animals.

As a Program Associate – Dairy Extension, you will: Support a research team with public communications and engagement. Support the project team who will disseminate materials outlining effective methods to mitigate enteric methane production. Publish extension factsheets that will serve as an educational resource and reference for cattle producers and industry professionals. Schedule development and dissemination of e-tools such as factsheets generated by research collaborators. Work with the project team to capture and produce video clips for development of educational videos. Coordinate with UNL personnel to develop assessment surveys regarding knowledge gained and changes the team may make based on what producers learned. Assist the project team to recruit and schedule participants for online learning programs. Schedule interactive workshops that will be made available to Extension personnel nationally. Collaborate with team in posting online learning material on websites.
