Job Summary  | Provides administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to advance the program’s mission of preparing first-generation, low-income students for doctoral studies. Serves as a key point of contact for students, faculty, and campus partners, ensuring effective communication, accurate recordkeeping and efficient coordination of events and services. Supports the planning and execution of academic enrichment activities, workshops, and recruitment initiative while maintaining compliance with institutional and federal reporting requirements. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, humanities, social sciences, STEM, or a related field. Two (2) years of administrative experience. Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and six (6) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply. Ability to work evenings or weekends for events, travel, or recruitment activities. Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications  | Administrative office experience in a higher education setting. Experience with event planning, student recruitment, or workshop coordination.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Knowledge of education environments, student development, and support services. Excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing multiple tasks with attention to detail. Professional communication, both written and verbal, with various audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting. Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive student information appropriately. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), other digital communication platforms, and basic data entry skills.
