Job Summary  | Administers and coordinates field, practicum and student teaching experience for students seeking licensure. Cultivates partnerships with local schools and school districts to identify high-quality mentor teachers and ensure the efficiency of the matching process. Serves as liaison between faculty, part-time supervisors and mentor teachers to ensure that matches fulfill program requirements. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or related field. Three (3) years K – 12 teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree, preferably in education or related field. Experience in teacher education which may include experience as a supervisor, mentor teacher, or instructor of teacher education courses. Experience with conflict resolution and student support. Experience developing and maintaining school-university partnerships. Administrative experience including use and development of relational databases (e.g. FileMaker Pro), web design or data analysis. Knowledge of geographical area and local schools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | General working knowledge of Ohio teacher licensure. Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities. Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans. Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence and persuasion. Ability to function as systems thinker and be solution minded with a global perspective. Ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships in the department, within CSU, and the community. Ability to organize and maintain record keeping systems. Ability to adapt to new situations and demands. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
