Department: Accounting Certificate Program
Salary: 49,400 - 56,200
Description: Manages the day-to-day operations of a large university program or department, including the supervision of staff employees, student workers, programs or processes. 

1. Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program. 
2. Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis. 
3. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance. 
4. Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation. 
5. Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities. 
6. May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations. 
7. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures. 
8. May serve as property custodian for the department. 
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

Additional Position Information Description: 
This position works in the department of Accountancy & Taxation at the C. T. Bauer College of Business. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, work well under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects while remaining flexible and positive. This will require exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Further, successful candidates will effectively communicate with all levels of management and fellow employees and be able to manage multiple employer relationships.

This position will work in cooperation with the college’s Office of Communications.

Position includes the following responsibilities but not limited to: 
1. Develop and execute strategies for increasing applications for Bauer College’s accounting programs.
2. Develop recruitment materials (informational packets and banners) and respond to queries from prospective applicants.
3. Implement & maintain all Accounting programs (BBA, CAP, MSACCY) on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn page. 
4. Responsible for planning and executing advertisement initiatives such as Facebook and LinkedIn ads, etc. 
5. Responsible for planning and executing recruitment initiatives on campus & within the greater Houston area and Texas.
6. Responsible for updating department website.
7. Collaborate with Bauer Commencement on promoting the accounting programs.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 9am-6pm. Occasional travel and special events may occur outside of the normal business working hours, including some Saturdays. As much advance notice as possible will be given.

Preferences: 
• 2-3 years of experience in marketing and recruitment, preferably within a higher education setting
• Proficiency with CRM tools as well as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to prioritize in a changing environment

Qualifications: 
• Education will be considered in lieu of experience. 
• Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
