Job Description  | The D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families’ (IVMF) Entrepreneurship and Small Business team is seeking an experienced and driven Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of our residency-based entrepreneurship programs. This includes the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) family of programs, the Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) program, and the Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship (STRIVE) program.

The Program Manager will oversee logistics, curriculum delivery, stakeholder engagement, and participant experience for both in-person and online components. This individual will also provide leadership to the EBV National Consortium, supporting partner universities with recruitment, program guidance, and collaboration. Additional responsibilities include managing program budgets, driving marketing and recruitment efforts, supporting grant reporting, and ensuring all programs exceed expectations for quality, impact, and participant satisfaction.

This position may be filled on a fully remote basis if the identified candidate is not currently located in Syracuse, NY (within 50 miles). Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible. Education and Experience  | Bachelor’s degree required. Two (2) plus years program management experience is required. Two (2) plus years of experience in event planning. Two (2) plus years working with/or advocating for service members, veterans, and families. Experience with small businesses and veteran owned businesses is preferred. Experience with curriculum development and/or instructional design is preferred. Knowledge of Salesforce or equivalent CRM platform is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge  | Excellent communicator, both oral and written; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with leadership, colleagues, partners, and stakeholders. Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Experience and personal discipline to successfully manage multiple, concurrent projects; can meet deadlines with competing demands. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive, team-focused, and customer-service mindset. Preference given to those with a military service connection, or who have worked with veteran, military, and/or family stakeholders, universities or think-tanks, and familiarity with related government programs and services for veterans, families, and related civilian human services programs.
Responsibilities  | Manage all event-planning requirements for residency entrepreneurship training programs, to include EBV and V-WISE; budget management, submit and review hotel RPFs, vendor contract negotiations, invoicing, inventory acquisition and shipment, and travel arrangements. Oversee all planning requirements for online phase of residency programs, to include EBV and V-WISE, and update Learning Management System, prepare virtual classrooms, and review digital resources. Build informative and engaging program agendas, utilizing current research themes and topics within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, leadership input, and participant feedback. Coordinate speakers, instructors, and facilitators across all program phases. Work with appropriate IVMF teams to develop and conduct recruitment and marketing initiatives, including promotional materials, website updates, social media posts, and communications with external organizations. Deliver best-in-class entrepreneurship training programs, to include EBV, V-WISE, and STRIVE, with an emphasis on providing meaningful content and an exceptional customer experience. Supervise and direct program staff, contractors, and volunteers during program execution. Develop and disseminate program correspondence and other communications to relevant stakeholders, funders, partners, program participants, and graduates. Conduct post-program activities, including budget reconciliation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updates, warm handoff to Alumni Services, and program reports to leadership. Ensure program alignment with grant deliverables and funder expectations. Serve as IVMF’s point of contact for the EBV National Consortium, providing guidance, resources, and coordination support. Drive national recruitment strategy for consortium-based EBV programs. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing among partner universities. Support curriculum development and implementation for STRIVE and other strategic partnerships that align with IVMF’s entrepreneurship mission. Contribute to continuous improvement and consistency of program quality across all consortium partners and affiliated initiatives. Support the Entrepreneurship and Small Business team, through the execution of marketing initiatives, development of promotional materials, on-site program execution, and securing funding opportunities. Collaborate with the IVMF staff to support and disseminate information to corporate partners, stakeholders and VOBs on leading practices, resources, and opportunities within the military-connected entrepreneur ecosystem. Engage with Alumni Services team to foster connections with program graduates to monitor needs, refer Veteran Owned Businesses (VOB) to the correct resources, and expand available resource/services repository. Support the IVMF’s Research and Analytics team, in the development and publication of military-connected entrepreneur reports and/or publications. Other duties as assigned.
