Job Summary
The Safety & Health Program Manager oversees the successful delivery and administration of safety and health training programs, ensuring academic excellence, administrative and operational efficiency, and high participant satisfaction. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating course offerings; optimizing enrollments and revenue; financial oversight, and supporting program innovation and growth. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage Safety & Health Training Program to ensure successful delivery of high-quality safety and health training courses, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance with OSHA and university requirements, strong participant outcomes, and revenue and program growth.
  • Reviewing weekly offerings, coordinating contracts, and overseeing material logistics in partnership with the logistics center. 
  • Ensures timely procurement of course materials and supplies, accurate document control, and efficient shipment and inventory management of training materials. 
  • Manage day-to-day supervision of program staff, including hiring, training, and workflow planning. 
  • Monitors operational considerations such as inclement weather, ensuring compliance with university policies and effective communication with participants, instructors, and EEC staff.
  • Review weekly course schedules and recommend cancellations, additions, or changes as needed.
  • Coordinate and monitor contract schedules to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Resolve participant and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Manage out-of-region requests.
  • Oversee course material inventory and logistics in coordination with the EEC Logistics Center to ensure timely shipment and availability of training materials.
  • Process program expenses, manage invoicing, order supplies and course materials. Oversee OTIEC marketing share funds.
  • Maintain accurate course completion records, submit required monthly and quarterly reports to OSHA on time, and oversee program audits.
  • Manage host site relationships, including scheduling, marketing coordination, and invoicing.
  • Supervise daily operations of program staff, including hiring, training, and workflow planning in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director.
  • Monitor inclement weather and ensure compliance with university policies; communicate operational updates to participants, staff, instructors, and host sites.
  • Supervise program staff and vendor instructors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of program management experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Safety & Health or adult education training programs or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Five (5) years of management experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service oriented.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to analyze, organize & prioritize complex information, concepts, and material.
  • Experience in general accounting and fiscal management.
