Job Overview:

Lexia Learning is seeking a Program Manager, State Initiatives to join the Proposal Team. The Program Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing State Instructional Reviews for Lexia products, including coordinating the people and processes to deliver IMR projects on time and with the desired outcomes aligned to state objectives. 

Specifically, the Program Manager, State Initiatives will work closely with other Lexia departments to oversee and coordinate project success from the inception and bidding phase until project completion.  The preferred candidate will have a solid understanding and experience in process development, strategic planning, and execution.  This person will be goals-driven and committed to building solid internal and external relationships to support State IMR work.  

Location: Remote, USA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a set scope of work for State IMR projects through setting effective expectations, communication, change management control, budget control and management, issue escalation and resolution, and overall business understanding of the project needs
  • Collaborate across teams on critical product scoping and consider product adaptations, additions, and/or revisions to scope, by developing short- and long-term project plans and schedules, setting targets for milestones, delegating tasks, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the projects.
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Maintain routine communications (written and verbal) concerning all aspects of the project
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Organize, facilitate, and document all project team meetings.
  • Escalate potential problems or issues to ensure visibility for all stakeholders and offer solutions while driving issues to resolution
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous process improvement by conducting Retrospectives and/or Lessons Learned meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, marketing, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5+ years prior experience, preferably in project or program management
  • Experience in Education, Technology, or related industry with emphasis on sales support 
  • PMP Certification, preferred
  • Proficiency with project management software, preferred, such as Smartsheet
  • Proven MS Office suite experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with procurement sites, preferred
  • Excellent human relation skills, including written and verbal communications
  • Must be able to organize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously with effective and timely follow-up
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently across multiple active projects
  • Ability to respond to constant change and remain flexible
  • Exceptional team player, with ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team setting
  • Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
