The World Bank Group’s (WBG) Ethics and Internal Justice Services Vice Presidency (EIJ) brings together, under a single umbrella, the WBG’s approach to values, ethics and the resolution of workplace conflict.  EIJ’s vision is to foster a values-based workplace culture and help staff uphold the WBG’s ethical standards.  EIJ provides an integrated, empathetic and efficient approach to resolving workplace conflict, allowing staff to focus with urgency on the WBG’s mission.  EIJ’s work covers each of the five WBG institutions.   https://www.worldbank.org/en/about/unit/ethics-and-internal-justice-services 

Unit Context:
EIJ is seeking to recruit an Ethics & Compliance Learning Experience Specialist to work in its Advisory, Training & Values Unit (ATV), and who will report to the Manager. ATV promotes development and application of ethical standards by all WBG staff. Custodian of the WBG Core Values and Code of Ethics, ATV provides advice, instruction and guidance on compliance with the Staff Directives and on ethical behaviors and conducts training and outreach for all WBG staff.

Duties and accountabilities:

Learning Design & Content Development

• Design and develop engaging, user-centered content ethics-related topics, including conflicts of interest, ethical decision making, workplace conduct, sexual harassment and bystander intervention

• Translate policies, standards, and behavioral ethics concepts into clear, accessible, and action-oriented learning materials

• Develop a range of learning products, including e-learning modules, animated videos, facilitator guides, toolkits, infographics and live training materials

Co-creation & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead co-creation processes by engaging internal stakeholders across diverse functions and regions to inform, test and refine learning products

• Facilitate design workshops, focus groups and pilot sessions to ensure content reflects staff needs, lived experiences and cultural contexts

Facilitation & Delivery
• Facilitate live (virtual and in person) workshops and training sessions that promote ethical awareness, reflection and behavior change.
• Adapt facilitation approached to diverse audiences and sensitive subject matter
Innovation & Design Thinking
• Apply design thinking and adult learning principles to develop innovative and effective learning experiences.
• Continuously explore new formats, tools, and approaches to improve engagement and impact.
Vendor & Project Management
• Manage external vendors (e.g., designers, animators, e learning developers), ensuring timely delivery and high quality outputs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate with the Analytics team to collect and analyze participant feedback and learning data.
• Use insights from evaluations and behavioral ethics research to continuously improve content, delivery, and real world impact.

Selection Criteria
  • Master's degree or equivalent in ethics, law, education, instructional design, organizational development, business or a related field.  
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a balanced profile across both ethics/compliance practice and the design and delivery of learning or communications content on ethics, integrity, workplace culture, harassment, or compliance, preferably in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Strong instructional design skills, with demonstrated application of adult learning principles.
  • Experience leading co‑creation processes with internal stakeholders.
  • Skilled facilitator with experience delivering live virtual and/or in‑person learning sessions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex and sensitive topics.
  • Proficiency with learning and design tools such as Canva, Vyond, Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms.
