Job Description  | The Program Specialist–Accreditation and Assessment will be responsible for:
This is an in-person, on-site position. No remote or hybrid work arrangements are available. Maintain, enhance and implement processes and infrastructure for effective and efficient assessment of academic programs in the College of Business. The individual will manage the design and implementation of a comprehensive assessment program for overall improvement of the curriculum and student learning, ensure continuing support for assessment activities and the analysis and reporting of results. Oversee the collection and analysis of data on assessment of instructional and non-instructional activities of the College, and campus-wide student services as well as survey data from alumni, Board of Advisors and other stakeholders. The Program Manager – Accreditation and Assessment will coordinate the accreditation process in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures of the accrediting body – currently, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and the individual will provide leadership and ensure the completion of maintenance reports and self-study reports to meet the requirements of various accrediting bodies. Collaborate with the Dean, Associate Deans, department chairs, academic program Managers, faculty and staff to foster a “culture of evidence” including appropriate measures and indicators for planning, assessment and effectiveness to improve programs. Provide leadership and assistance to department chairs and program Managers to create and implement departmental assessment plans using best practices and design methods that ensure the success of assessment projects. Work with faculty and staff to develop and monitor student learning outcomes, create rubrics and set benchmarks. Coordinate the development, enhancement, and implementation of college level surveys and rubrics. Coordinate the administration of national business tests and surveys of student learning, analyze data and write reports. Organize and coordinate workshops on assessment to assist faculty in conducting meaningful assessment activities. Assist faculty to carry out item analysis to determine the effectiveness of assessment tools. Collaborate with faculty to review, and revise student learning outcomes and ensure that they are aligned to program goals. Serve as a liaison with the (AACSB) for both Business an Accounting, as well as accrediting bodies for Health Informatics. Organize and coordinate workshops on accreditation to assist faculty in meeting the standards of each accrediting body, maintaining (AACSB) and any other accreditation necessary for other program areas. Coordinate various accreditation committees. Work with Chairs and program Managers to ensure collection and cataloging syllabi for each semester. Coordinate On-Site visits by Accreditation Evaluation teams; Collaborate with non-instructional and academic support units to develop and assess service outcomes and make recommendations as needed to help with student success and continuous improvement; Use the data for accreditation reporting as needed. Support College of Business strategic planning efforts for program and student learning outcomes assessment. Work with the Dean, Associate Deans, Chairs, faculty and staff to develop and implement strategic intervention strategies for program improvement. Attend conferences, workshops and seminars associated with assessment and accreditation. Collaborates with leaders to create logos and marketing efforts for College of Business groups. Monitors meetings and tech support via zoom and Microsoft teams. Maintains and monitors email marketing via constant contact. Organizes, plans, and executes webinars for College of Business. Assists in other College organization/centers activities. Assist in recruiting efforts for the College of Business. Updates website with correct flyers. Updates faculty/staff directory pages on college website. Other reasonable tasks assigned by the individual’s supervisor.
