Colorado State University is hiring a Project Approval Manager and Staff Architect. The role involves managing diverse tasks related to capital project development including planning, design, project approvals, and compliance coordination with university leadership and state agencies. The position supports strategic project planning, code compliance, design review, and the development of BIM standards while ensuring efficient workflow and process improvement.
Highlights
Develop conceptual designs, project plans, and bridging documents for design-build projects.
Manage project approvals and coordinate budget requests with CSU leadership and the Office of the State Architect.
Administer the CSU Design Review Committee and Historic Review Board, and review architectural documents during design phases.
Develop and implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and potentially prepare construction documents and BIM models.
Use software tools including Autodesk AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Bluebeam Revu, and possibly Microsoft Project.
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering or related field and be a licensed Architect (RA) and/or Professional Engineer (PE).
Requires 5 years of experience in design, construction, document control, quality control, project management, and process development.
