Job Summary  |
This is position is based in the Office of Research Education (REd) and support existing REd programming as well as new content for national audiences. At the University of Utah, REd leads the development and delivery of research education training for faculty, staff, and students. The individual hired for this position will manage and organize the registration and participation records for REd, coordinate class schedules, communicate with teachers and participants, facilitate classes and workshops, as well as ensure timely compensation for instructors. This hire will work closely with the REd team to execute the day-to-day operations of programmatic activities.

Responsibilities  |
This position will be responsible for using Qualtrics, Canvas, and Catalog platforms to organize enrollment and participant data. This position will monitor and review the effectiveness of existing organizational structure and record keeping and implement changes needed to ensure a high level of professionalism and content delivery. Above all, this hire will work to ensure a streamlined and positive outcome for all REd instructors and participants. Supports existing REd classes, workshops, and certificate programs. Hosts and facilitates REd classes as needed. Manages REd email accounts and directs messages to the appropriate staff member. Supports the development, distribution, and collection of surveys and evaluations materials to determine the success of REd classes and other activities. Maintains high standards for record keeping and database management. Works with IT and other support staff to resolve potential issues with class registration portal and fee collection software. Works closely with REd and other institutional staff to ensure that payment and other financial records are organized. Works to quickly to troubleshoot and resolve issues raised by participants or instructors in accessing Canvas, Zoom, or other class resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction. Organize and enhance Canvas layout and class templates. Compiles and organizes records of instructor and participant data. Supports effective management of online learning environments. Collects, analyzes, and summarizes enrollment and/or participant data to determine the efficacy and reach of marketing strategies.

Minimum Qualifications  |
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Project Coordinator, II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.

Master’s degree Degree in a field such as Communications, Computer Science, Education, Linguistics, Data Science, Human Resource Management Experience with spreadsheets and databases 2 years experience in developing, conducting, and/or facilitating education and training programs Innovative with the ability to create sustainable connections within the University and national higher ed institutions is preferred Impeccable customer relation skills Experience with HTML or other web protocols Background with remote learning and/or online education Software and/or computer competency in learning management systems, such as Canvas Familiarity with, or strong interest, in platforms such as Catalog, Qualtrics, and Zoom Excellent organizational, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills
