Project Manager I Full Description

As a project manager I, you will oversee a list of campaigns and initiatives to ensure the prompt and on-budget delivery of physical and digital assets for marketing and communications needs. In doing so, you will foster positive relationships with SCAD departments and stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a cross-functional link between internal and external stakeholders. Among other duties, you will initiate and organize new projects with accurate and current information in the project management software to guarantee accessibility and archival integrity. Additionally, you will regularly lead collaborative meetings between teams to track progress and address campaign challenges. 
 
In this role, you will help maintain consistent messaging across communication platforms and identify potential project risks to develop mitigation strategies for successful delivery. You will also review completed projects for lessons learned and recommend workflow processes and improvements. Responsibilities include the management of project scopes, timelines, resources, and communication updates to involved parties and the assurance that deliverables meet internal quality standards in line with university policies and external regulations. Additionally, you will stay current on project management tools and trends to suggest new implementations and gather feedback from internal clients and partners to improve future project outcomes and relationships. 

The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail. They can also handle multiple projects at once and work well with different teams. 

Minimum qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least two years of experience in integrated marketing or communications roles (i.e., project coordination, event management, advertising, or digital media) 
  • Experience working in project management software or creative traffic management software 
Preferred qualifications:  
  • Previous experience working in a creative agency or event-driven environment  
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:  
  • Valid driver’s license  
Travel required:  
  • Less than 10%  
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
