Job Summary 
This position will be responsible for managing medical student rotations and fellowships within the Division of Plastic Surgery. They will also manage some clinical operations within the Division. Develops and administers academic and research programs by designing curriculum, negotiating contracts and program funding, solving related problems and evaluating and redesigning programs. Manages staff, collaborates with departments and faculty to develop course and research programs.

Responsibilities 
1. Plans, develops and establishes new programs and conferences to meet identified needs of educational and research groups.
2. Coordinates academic and research programs, strategic direction, marketing goal achievement and product delivery.
3. Develops and administers unit budget including educational and research funding.
4. Directs and supervises staff by hiring, training, establishing goals and evaluating performance.
5. Assesses the past performance of academic and research programs though program evaluations.
6. May plan and schedule course offerings.
7. May be required to fulfill University or department teaching/research assignments.

Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three years of experience in budget, grant and program management or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Develops and implements program ideas into successful academic and research programs; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
