We are seeking a Publishing Production and Design Manager will be responsible for managing the Production and Design team, processes, and work product. This includes managing both staff and temporary team members, managing key production processes, and ensuring that all work meets quality standards, aligns with TCI's brand and business goals, and is delivered on schedule. This person will partner closely with editorial, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure content is effective, cohesive, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recruiting and onboarding of new temporary and staff team members as needed to ensure all team members are qualified and well-trained to deliver on key projects.
- Build the staff team by setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to staff members, ensuring their continued growth.
- Ensure all content is accessible, consistent, well-designed, and properly licensed to ensure a positive classroom experience and legal compliance.
- Assign, review, and approve production projects to ensure accuracy, clarity, brand, style, online accessibility, and print quality.
- Work closely with the Editorial Managers to ensure that content is handed off in a way that allows for accurate and efficient layout, and that end products are being delivered as expected.
- Collaborate on scheduling, prioritization, and adherence to deadlines, both within the team and cross-divisionally.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of people management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in educational publishing.
- At least 5 years production and design experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-divisionally across all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, project management applications, and Google products.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $187,000 annually
This is a full-time remote position. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related experience, skills, and location. TCI offers medical, dental, vision, 401k benefits, PTO and bonus eligibility.
