SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position will support the daily operations of Meteor’s Procurement divisions by processing customer and vendor purchase orders, creating quotes, and reviewing vendor acknowledgements/confirmations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the organization of order requests in the Purchasing inbox
- Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to project team for resolution
- Process and organize all purchasing documentation such as new customer info, purchase orders, revisions, quotes, and maintaining acknowledgements
- Enter new orders into the Delivery Schedule
- Review vendor acknowledgements and enter ship dates into Delivery Schedule
- Maintain effective communication with project teams on any order or acknowledgement issues or changes
- Send product prices to sales reps when they reach out with those requests
- Assist with creating quotes for sales reps if needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent required
- Previous purchasing or data entry experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of work
- Strong time-management skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to promptly respond to service requests and effectively manage difficult situations in a professional manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook
