COMPENSATION: $22-$24/hour

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position will support the daily operations of Meteor’s Procurement divisions by processing customer and vendor purchase orders, creating quotes, and reviewing vendor acknowledgements/confirmations. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the organization of order requests in the Purchasing inbox
  • Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to project team for resolution
  • Process and organize all purchasing documentation such as new customer info, purchase orders, revisions, quotes, and maintaining acknowledgements
  • Enter new orders into the Delivery Schedule 
  • Review vendor acknowledgements and enter ship dates into Delivery Schedule
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams on any order or acknowledgement issues or changes
  • Send product prices to sales reps when they reach out with those requests
  • Assist with creating quotes for sales reps if needed

Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent required
  • Previous purchasing or data entry experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of work
  • Strong time-management skills 
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to promptly respond to service requests and effectively manage difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook
