Job Description | General Description:
The Quality Compliance Associate will serve as a key member of the Internal Compliance & Quality Assurance (ICQA) department and is responsible for administering the College’s corrective action management, compliance monitoring, and quality management activities. The position serves as the primary coordinator for the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Program and supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes designed to strengthen institutional compliance, internal controls, and accountability.
*This position is eligible for telework after completion of state one-year probationary period. *
Duties and Tasks: Coordinate and administer the College’s Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Program, including monitoring, validation, reporting, and closure activities. The Quality Compliance Associate is responsible for monitoring corrective actions resulting from internal audits, compliance reviews, external oversight activities, and management assessments to ensure remediation efforts are appropriately implemented, supported by sufficient evidence, and sustained over time. The position maintains quality documentation standards, performs compliance monitoring activities, develops management reports and dashboards, and assists stakeholders in understanding and meeting institutional compliance expectations. The position serves as a liaison between auditors, process owners, and external stakeholders to facilitate corrective action implementation, monitor progress toward remediation goals, and promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the College. The Quality Compliance Associate works collaboratively across all business lines to support compliance with institutional policies and procedures, internal control standards, external oversight requirements, and established ICQA quality management practices. Maintain and enhance quality management processes, documentation standards, and promote Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, metrics, and trend analyses to support management decision-making and risk oversight. Identify recurring deficiencies, emerging risks, and opportunities for process improvement and standardization. Promote awareness and understanding of ICQA requirements, CAP expectations, and quality standards. Provide guidance, training, and support to stakeholders regarding CAP requirements, quality standards, documentation expectations, and compliance obligations. Support institutional readiness for audits, reviews, assessments, and external oversight activities. Assist with special projects, risk assessments, process reviews, and other initiatives supporting the mission of ICQA.
Special Assignments | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications | KSAs: Knowledge of quality management principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and document control practices Knowledge of internal controls, corrective action planning, compliance monitoring, and risk management concepts. Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), records management, and quality assurance methodologies. Ability to evaluate corrective action evidence and determine whether remediation efforts sufficiently address identified deficiencies Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop meaningful reports and dashboards. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent recommendations Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop productive working relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Minimum Work Experience: Experience with ISO Quality Management systems (QMS) and lean methodologies. Experience in quality assurance, compliance, internal audit, risk management, records management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, monitoring, or validating corrective action plans, compliance programs, internal control activities, quality management processes, or continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in evaluating effectiveness, identifying deficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring remediation efforts through resolution. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or improving new programs, processes, governance frameworks, compliance initiatives, quality management systems, or other organizational improvement efforts.
