Job Description
The Training Manager is responsible for managing the onboarding process, training new Revenue Cycle Management team members on RCM standard operating procedures and specific product functionality. In addition, the Training Manager identifies training needs, organizes learning and developmental opportunities, tracks and analyzes training effectiveness, stays current on product and departmental updates, and creates and implements continuous learning culture in the department. 

The Training Manager works closely with the Department leadership to assist with implementing new processes including documentation and any contract specifics which might require specialized training. The Training Manager is knowledgeable about revenue cycle processes and all the various applications which support the team and department. 
This position develops training curriculums and helps identify skill gaps which impact performance and results.  

The Training Manager keeps abreast of the latest tools and technology to cater to different learning styles and preferences.  

Responsibilities  
  • Onboard new RCM team members based on current standard operating procedures. 
  • Train RCM team members on specific product functionality. 
  • Evaluate RCM team members to confirm understanding of the training material. 
  • Assess team members’ skills, performance, and ability to meet productivity requirements to identify areas which might require additional training.  
  • Develop and implement skill checks. 
  • Stay abreast of all technologies utilized by the RCM Department and provide training as applicable. 
  • Understand the impact of product updates and changes on the RCM department and plan training accordingly. 
  • Work with Department leadership on best practice process flows and operating procedures and assist with implementation. 
 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years’ experience in a role with responsibility for training or mentoring    team members.  
  • Minimum 2 years’ revenue cycle experience; preferably in multiple roles including billing, cash   application and denial management. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and people skills. 
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective teaching strategies. 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to plan, manage time, and multitask effectively. 
  • Strategic and creative mindset. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
