University of South Carolina is hiring a Recruiter/Admissions Counselor. The role involves traveling throughout a five-county service area to recruit students from high schools, community groups, and other organizations to campuses. The recruiter reports to the Director of Recruiting and manages recruitment, enrollment goals, strategies, and results.
Highlights
Travel to recruitment events across multiple counties including Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Colleton, Hampton, Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester.
Participate in on-campus recruiting events such as open house, Saturday visits, orientation, and special events.
Conduct follow-up communications with potential students via phone, email, mail, face-to-face meetings, and campus tours, using a CRM system for tracking.
Serve as academic advisor assisting students with course selection, campus changes, admissions, financial aid, and technical setup including email, SSC, and Blackboard.
Required to have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of student services programs and the ability to maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members.
Position is full-time with a 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility required.
Starting salary set at $41,258 annually.
Reports to the Director of Recruiting within the Department of Enrollment and Student Services at USC Salkehatchie Palmetto College.

Job Duties
Job Duty | Travel to and participate in various recruitment events throughout the Salkehatchie region (Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Colleton, and Hampton counties) and other assigned service areas including Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties to recruit students.
